The Gill-men are a race of big, muscular, green-scaled, humanoids with some fish-like or reptile-like features. They are a race of mutants created as servants of Ming the Merciless and mainly supply his underwater-fleet of submarines. They are traditional enemies of Queen Undina and the Underwater People of Coralia.

The Gill-men only appear in the 1979 animated series New Adventures of Flash Gordon and might be the shows equivalent of the original Sunday strips' Shark Men, although they differ much from them in character and appearance.
