Gina Holden plays Dale Arden in the Sci Fi Channel Flash Gordon series.
Holden is a Canadian actress who first found success as a teenage model in Japan. Returning to North America, Holden was cast in small roles in The L Word and the Fantastic Four movie. Holden had major roles in the Canadian television shows Da Vinci's City Hall and Blood Ties.
Dale Arden is Holden's first major US television role. "During auditions and rehearsals, we could tell this one was the right Dale, because Eric Johnson had such good chemistry with her," says Mark Stern, Sci Fi Channel's executive vice president of original programming. "We had to find the right actress to work with him, because there's jealousy and a love triangle and friendship involved, and we did not want to stick him with an actress he couldn't stand."
